A while back, I spoke with Mike Hendrickson at O’Reilly about how to measure and make sense out of performance from a business perspective. It was a pleasant surprise to see the resulting podcast featured on O’Reilly Radar today.
It’s a pretty short video, but if you’re in a rush, you can skip the first five or six minutes where I talk about how we launched Strangeloop as a performance pioneer six years ago, and get right into the juicy stuff about the business value of performance at around the seven-and-a-half-minute mark.
Last week, O’Reilly also ran a great interview with our VP of Technology, Hooman Beheshti, which you should check out. Hooman will be talking about advanced front-end optimization for mobile at Velocity this June, and even if he didn’t work here, I’d still encourage you to attend his session. When it comes to FEO, and to performance in general, he’s one of the most knowledgeable people you could hope to find, and he has an amazing gift for explaining complex material in an interesting, entertaining way.
